Learning this Week:
Writing: We will continue with narrative writing, including dialogue. Students are expected to use dialogue punctuation correctly in their writing, while including all elements of a story (characters, setting, problem, solution, moral). In addition, we will learn about point of view and how that affects a story. 
Math: We finished decimals last week, and will continue with Topic 15 (Geometry). Students will be be expected identify vocabulary terms (ex: line, point, ray, angle, etc.) and we will practice using protractors. In addition, we will review earlier learned concepts in preparation for MCAS. 
ELA: All students have chosen a person for their biography project and we will learn about reliable sources, how to take notes, and how to read with a purpose. Students will be expcetd to take notes on all categories for their poster. We will use a variety of sources (books, articles, internet). We will finish reading Who Was Jackie Robinson as a model for their own note-taking. 
S.S./Sci: We will be completing a STEM activity that involves geometry.
