Learning this Week:
Writing: This week we will be focusing on text structure, specifically compare and contrast. Students will be comparing and contrasting two different articles on recycling. We will practice using evidence from both articles.
Math: We will continue moving along in Topic 9. Students will be converting improper fractions into mixed numbers and they will continue to add and subtract fractions. 
ELA: We will be wrapping up immigration books. Students will have a few more sessions to type, but we will be moving on to Porquoi Tales. We will discuss the structure/format of these stories, read and describe many porquoi books, while working toward writing our own. 
S.S/Sci: Students will be learning about the three different types of rocks and the rock cycle.
