Learning this week:
Writing: We will write a short, open response writing piece using an informational article. Students will be expected to use evidence from the article to support their opinion. We will finish designing graphic novels and all unfinished personal narrative writing will be sent home for homework.
Math: We will continue with Topic 3 Multiplying 1 digit numbers. Students will be taught multiple methods to solve multiplication problems. We will officially integrate Envision technology in the classroom. Students can practice this at home.
ELA: We will wrap up our first unit on Theme and Character traits. Students will be partially assessed on their first reading letter. We will go over the criteria and rubric for submitting a reading letter.
Science/S.S: We will continue researching and discussing landforms. We will be discussing bodies of water as well.
