Learning this Week:
Math: We just started topic 16 (Geometry). Students will be learning and using many geometric terms to describe shapes. We will be classifying triangles and quadrilaterals based on their sides and angles in addition to reviewing previously learned concepts as we prepare for MCAS next week.
Science: Students will be creating a creature to survive in an imaginary habitat based on real-life animal adaptations. They will be drawing and labeling the animal based on its survival needs. We will also be picking animals to research and present on using power-point and reliable sources.

Learning this Week:
Math: Students will continue to explore Topic 13 Measurement Conversions. Students will be expected to multiply to convert measurements for the Customary and Metric system. We will also continue to review skills as well as start a project with perimeter and area.
Science: Students will be completing an investigation to discover how animals use adaptations to survive. We will use common adaptions to design our own, inventive animal as well as compare and contrast plant and animal structure.
