Learning this Week:
Writing: We will continue writing about being trapped in a snowglobe. Students will practice using dialogue, along with words other than "said". We will practice organizing paragraphs, and complete a snowglobe craft to coordinate with our writing :) 
Math: We have just started Topic 5 (Divide by 1 Digit Numbers) and will be estimating quotients this week. We will also begin dividing by 1 digit numbers in a variety of ways.
ELA: We will practice using Google Classroom to copy and paste pictures (as well as write captions) for our Regions Investigation Poster. Students will be using their research and notes to begin their poster project. 
Science/S.S: We will be presenting our state posters and taking notes. Students are required to fill out a notes packet withe state capitals and one fun fact. It will be included in their overall grade.

Learning this Week:
Writing: This week we will wrap up our opinion writing pieces. Upon finishing, we will be analyzing and writing our own poems. We will be learning about similies, metaphors, and other figurative language. 
Math: Students will finish their Topic 4 Test. We will spend a few days reviewing content learned so far this year and take our benchmark assessment, which includes skills from Topic 1-4. 
ELA: We will continue to practice taking notes using our region packets and books. We will be looking at the structure of an investigation and creating a model example. 
Science: We will continue learning about plate tectonics and how they cause natural disasters.
